The Purple Flame Minnow Fly is another of my “Blenders” series. The plastic barbell eyes do not add weight, allowing the fat headed fly to swim with a distinct flame-like wiggle in the tail. It swims beautifully, sub-surface, neutrally buoyant without the aid of a sink-tip line. This is a killer Snook fly or Seatrout along drop-offs. Try it early morning or late evening, or on overcast days. Tied on an uber-sharp VMC 7106BN #1/0 hook.
